]]> Ten years ago, March of 2014, our family was plunged into suicide grief. My brother found my 40-year-old sister Meggan who had died by suicide. In that moment my world changed. Everything I thought I believed about hope, healing, and heartbreak was put under the microscope of grief. If ever there was a time I needed a Savior, it was in this shock and grief.

]]> It is hard to choose a favorite scripture, but if I had to it would be “I glory in plainness; I glory in truth; I glory in my Jesus, for he hath redeemed my soul from hell” (2 Nephi 33:6). Maybe it is the personal nature of this scripture—my Jesus? Or is it the simple power of relying completely on Christ to find peace and redemption? It is both. We mortals tend to make things more complicated than needed. When I complicate things, I really complicate things.  But when I get caught in the weeds of confusion, I have found the Spirit strongest by remembering some specific ways that I glory in Jesus and return to His simple truths.
